in an eclectic programme which includes Widor's Symphony No. 6 and Bernstein's Wonderful Town

Wednesday 21 October 2009 7.45pm

As an organ soloist, Marshall particularly favours the French romantics, and has appeared in recitals through the UK, Europe, North America and the Far East. He has recorded for labels including EMI Classics and Virgin Classics and at present, is organist-in-residence at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. This recital features a programme of virtuoso works including Widor’s Symphony No 6 and Dupré’s Allegro Deciso. These pieces are supplemented by his own arrangement of Bernstein’s Wonderful Town plus his other arrangements of works by Strauss, Verdi and Tchaikowsky.
